When asked #WhoWouldYouWalkFor to raise funds for Brightway's (formally DDI) Annual Walk, the Schwegler Family wanted to give back to the organization that has done so much for their son, Liam. Through social media and community outreach, Team Schwegler Heros raised nearly $17,000, becoming this year’s top fundraising team.
Liam, diagnosed with autism at age two, has flourished with Brightway's care and support in our Early Childhood Program, reaching important milestones and growing into a young boy who loves the outdoors and playing with cars. The Schwegler family’s success is more than just a fundraising achievement, it’s a tribute to Liam’s journey and a heartfelt reminder of the life-changing impact Brightway has on children and families every day.
His family said, “We’re endlessly grateful for Brightway and all they’ve done for Liam, and we’ll continue to give back and support their mission in any way we can.”
