For the first time under its new name, Brightway Living & Learning is thrilled to announce its Annual Walk and Wellness Festival at The Suffolk Credit Union Arena at Suffolk County Community College’s Brentwood Campus raised more than $85,000 on Saturday.

Hundreds of families, staff, community members, advocates and supporters came together to walk in support of Brightway’s mission, raising vital funds for programs that empower children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities to live the life they choose. In addition to the indoor walk in the arena, for the first time, over 20 local health and fitness partners, featuring dedicated tables by Community Care Rx and Northwell Health provided interactive wellness resources, flu and COVID-19 shots, blood pressure screenings and more. There were also carnival games, music, a magician and a photobooth, creating a fun and inspiring day for all ages.

“Brightway’s Walk and Wellness Festival is a powerful reminder of what happens when a community unites behind a shared purpose,” said Joseph W. Schmidt, Esq. Brightway Board Chairman. “Every step taken and every dollar raised helps the children and adults Brightway supports reach personal milestones and expand their opportunities. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank our sponsors, families, and dedicated staff and supporters for today possible.”

“Corporate Synergies is proud to return as the presenting sponsor for Brightway’s Annual Walk and Wellness Festival,” said Victor Dezelic, Senior Vice President, Corporate Synergies. “This event goes far beyond fundraising—it is a powerful celebration of inclusion, unity, and the life-changing supports Brightway provides to children, adults, and families every day. We are deeply honored to champion their mission and walk alongside this incredible community.”

The funds raised will go directly towards enhancing Brightway’s educational, residential, vocational and therapeutic services, enriching the lives of the people we support and helping them to reach their full potential.
