About Brightway

Behavioral science experts supporting Long Island families since 1961.

Brightway is one of Long Island's largest organizations providing services for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, supporting over 1,600 people across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our commitment hasn't changed since parents founded us in 1961: help every person move forward—in their own way, at their own pace, through every possible path.

Connect with the Brightway Team

Our team includes board-certified behavior analysts, medical professionals, speech and occupational therapists, special education teachers, and direct support professionals (DSPs) who've made careers here.

Some staff members have been with us for over 20 years, bringing accumulated wisdom from thousands of families. We pioneered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in this region when it was new and still developing. We've adapted as research has evolved, adding approaches that extend beyond standard protocols, including 3D printing programs, greenhouse training, culinary coaching, and yoga for self-regulation.

We don't lock into single methods. We use what works, proven through data and adjusted based on your family member’s abilities and goals.
