Days include functional skill instruction (communication, self-care, money management), therapeutic activities, and community exploration. We provide creative opportunities and outlets for people to learn and grow in all ways.
Adult participants work in our greenhouse growing and caring for plants, flowers, and herbs. They build functional objects in woodworking. Our Performing Arts Program (Campizondo Foundation-funded) offers expression through music, dance, and drama. Yoga, archery, bocce ball, and our 9-hole miniature golf course. Job training programs help participants explore work through partnerships with local businesses, and while some find competitive employment, others thrive in supported work or volunteer settings.
Our clinical team tracks what's working and adjusts approaches based on each person's response. We also offer community-based day habilitation for adults who prefer activities throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties rather than center-based programs.
